malaynayo in ay yihiin sahamiyayaal u katirsan shirkadda Macdanta ee ka diiwaan
gashan Canada ee ka hawl gasha Puntland, sidaas waxaa weriyey hay'adda Reuters
iyo wakaaladaha wararka oo sheegay in warkaas laga soo xigtey Wasiirka Difaaca
Somaliland.
Cabdullaahi Cali Ibraahim, Wasiirka Difaaca Somaliland, ayaa sheegay in
labada nin ay "dalka" kusoo galeen sharci darro, waxaana laga soo xiray degmada
Laasqoray ee Bariga Gobolka Sanaag. Waxaana labadaas nin lala soo xiray Afar
Soomaali ah.
"Halkan kama caddayn doono hadda dhalashada labada nin ee caddaanka ah,"
ayuu yiri Cabdullaahi Cali Ibraahim oo la hadlayey warbaahinta. "Waxa keliya oo
aan sheegayaa in ay ku socdaalayeen gaari, oo loo malaynayo in ay aagga ka
sahaminayeen macdan sahamin." Afarka Soomaalida ah dhammaan waxay ka yimaadeen
Puntland, ayuu yiri, waxaana hadda lagu hayaa magaalada Ceerigaabo ee Gobolka

Hay'ada wararka Reuters oo soo xiganeysey ilo ayaa sheegay in labada qof ee

gashan) Canada oo rajaynaysay in ay sahamin nooca "seismic" ka sameeyso aaggaas,
oo qani ku ah macdanta loo yaqaan zinc iyo macdano kale. Faahfaahin halkaas
lagama bixin.
Shirkadda xarunteedu tahay Vancouver ee Africa Oil Corp (AOI.V) (iyo
jaalkeeda IMC) ayaa sahamin ka wada Puntland. Saraakiisha shirkaddaasi markii
warkan ay Reuters qortay lama helin si ay jawaab u bixiyaan.
Waa sida warka reuters u dhigay. Laakiin sida muuqata Somaliland waxay
sheegtay warar kuwaas ka duwan. Puntland-an waa beenisey in dadkaas ajaanibta ah
ay sahaminayeen Puntland.
Warar sidaas ka duwan ka akhri halkan...

HARGEISA, Somalia, June 7 (Reuters) - Security forces in a breakaway northern
Somali republic arrested two Westerners on Saturday thought to be surveyors
working for a Canadian mining company, government officials said.
Somaliland's Defence Minister Abdillahi Ali Ebrahim said the two men had entered
the country illegally and had been detained in Las Qorey district, Eastern Sanag
region, with four Somalis.
"I will not be revealing the identity or nationality of the two Caucasians at
present," Ebrahim told reporters. "I will only say that they were travelling in
a car and are believed to have been surveying minerals in the area." The four
Somalis were all from neighbouring Puntland, he said, all six men were being
taken to the Sanag capital Erigabo.
Government sources said the two Westerners were believed to be employees of a
Canadian company hoping to conduct a seismic survey in the area, which is rich
in zinc and other minerals.
They did not elaborate.
Vancouver-based Africa Oil Corp <AOI.V> is carrying out a survey in Puntland.
Company officials could not immediately be reached.
Somaliland split from the rest of Somalia in 1991 when warlords toppled military
dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, plunging the country into anarchy. It has governed
itself since then. (Writing by Daniel Wallis) (For full Reuters Africa coverage
